We are always striving to stay progressive. Therefore, we offer laser gum therapy--the alternative to scalpel and suture gum surgery. We are the first periodontal practice in the Austin area to offer this state-of-the-art technique. It requires no scalpels and no sutures.

Laser Periodontal Therapy™ is a laser-based approach to gum disease. The reasons we use Laser Periodontal Therapy ™ are to:
- Remove only the diseased tissue without removing any of the healthy tissue
- Maintain the height of the tissue around the teeth
- Minimize pain and discomfort
- Controlling periodontal (gum) disease makes it possible to save and restore otherwise hopelessly involved teeth that would have to be extracted.
- Perio probe indicates excessive pocket depth. Gum disease has been detected.
- Laser light kills bacteria and diseased tissue.
- Special instruments are used to remove tartar.
- Laser finishes cleaning and sterilizing pocket which aids in sealing the pocket closed so new germs cannot enter.
- Healing of gums to clean root surface occurs.
- Bite trauma is adjusted.
