Owens earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri and graduated with a specialty in periodontics and Master of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 1999. He became board certified in November 2005.
Kris W. Owens, D.D.S., M.S., remains active in the world of research and academia in order to keep up to date with the newest and most effective methods of treating his patients. He recently served on faculty at LSU and was involved in several research projects examining implants and new dental techniques. Dr. Owens lectures and has published articles on several dental related topics. Dr. Owens makes it his mission to be aware of and offer the most modern dental advancements to his patients, assuring the greatest of comfort possible and the highest quality care.

In his free time, Dr. Owens enjoys reading, traveling, motorcycle riding and fitness activities. He also takes advantage of the outdoor activities the Austin area has to offer.
